Your Miva Student Email and How to Use It

Who is this for?  All enrolled learners.

Once your admission is confirmed, your tuition is paid, and you are officially enrolled, you receive your Miva student email address as part of onboarding. It runs on Google Workspace under the @miva.edu.ng domain and is your primary channel of communication with the university.

Why it matters

Your student email is more than an address; it is your official identity within the university. It is used to receive announcements and updates, communicate with university teams, access shared forms and resources, and sign in to platforms such as the SIS and the Support Portal. It also helps the university verify your identity when handling your requests.

Setting it up and using it

After enrolment you will receive instructions to activate and set up your email. Complete the setup quickly so you do not miss onboarding activities or announcements, and make your student email your preferred address whenever you contact the university.

Best practices

  • Check your inbox regularly for important updates.

  • Keep your login credentials secure and never share them, including with parents, guardians, or sponsors.

  • Use your Miva email whenever you contact the university so your record is found quickly.

  • Keep enough mailbox storage free so you continue to receive messages.
