Who is this for? Undergraduate learners who need to regularize their admission with JAMB.
Eligible undergraduate learners must complete JAMB Regularization to finalize their admission records with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Regularization ensures your admission is recognised by JAMB and lets you access services such as printing your admission letter and obtaining an NYSC exclusion upon graduation. This guide covers creating your JAMB profile, completing the Distance Learning application, accepting your admission, printing your letter, and uploading it to the portal.
Using the phone number linked to your NIN, send an SMS in the format "NIN" followed by your 11-digit NIN (for example, NIN 00123456789) to 55019 or 66019. You will receive a 10-digit Profile Code by SMS.
Visit a JAMB office or an accredited CBT centre to continue. Do not attempt to complete the process solely on your phone.
At the centre, create your account on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and provide your personal information to complete your profile.
Under Other Registrations, choose Distance Learning Registration.
Make the required payment (see the fees below).
Enter your O-Level details and required credits. You may use a maximum of two sittings.
Select Miva Open University as your First Choice Distance Learning Institution, then select your course of study.
Complete biometric capture, submit your application, and complete the Indemnity Form.
Log in to your JAMB profile and accept your admission.
Print your JAMB Admission Letter.
Upload your JAMB Admission Letter to the LMS.
Note JAMB processing timelines apply after submission. Complete regularization well before graduation, since it is a graduation requirement for undergraduate programmes.
You can complete regularization at any JAMB State Office, Zonal Office, or the National Headquarters that offers the service. JAMB has offices across all 36 states and the FCT, and you can generally visit any office that offers regularization, though the nearest is usually most convenient. Miva is not a JAMB Regularization centre. For the current list, see the JAMB Approved Registration Centres portal or the JAMB Contact and Office Addresses page. A selection of major offices can be seen below.
Can I complete the process entirely on my phone?
No. You generate the profile code by SMS, but you must visit a JAMB office or accredited CBT centre to complete registration.
Can I use two O-Level sittings?
Yes. You may use a maximum of two sittings.
What should I take to a JAMB office?
Your JAMB profile details, a valid means of identification, your admission details, your institution's information, and any documents JAMB requests.
