Submitting Assignments on the LMS

Submitting Assignments on the LMS

Who is this for?  All learners completing assessments on the LMS.

Assessments on the LMS come in two formats: essay-type assessments and multiple-choice assessments (quizzes). Read the instructions for each assessment carefully, as the requirements, submission method, and deadline may differ. Some assessments allow only one submission; ensure you upload the correct document the first time.

Submitting an essay-type assessment

  1. Log in to the LMS and open the assessment in your course.

  2. Download the assessment questions and answer them as instructed.

  3. Include your full name, student email, and Student ID on your answer document.

  4. Save your completed work as a PDF.

  5. Return to the assessment page and click Add Submission.

  6. Upload your PDF by dragging it into the upload area or browsing to select it.

  7. Click Save Changes, review, then click Submit Assignment.

Note  Most essay-type assessments allow only one submission. Confirm you have uploaded the correct file before clicking Submit Assignment.

Completing a multiple-choice assessment

  1. Log in to the LMS and open the assessment.

  2. Read the instructions carefully.

  3. Click Attempt Quiz to begin. The timer starts immediately.

  4. Answer all questions within the allocated time.

  5. Submit before the timer expires.

Tips

  • Start early to avoid last-minute technical issues.

  • For essays, confirm your file is saved as a PDF before uploading.

  • For quizzes, make sure you have enough time and a stable connection before you click Attempt Quiz, because the timer begins at once.
