Understanding Your Tuition Breakdown

Understanding Your Tuition Breakdown

Who is this for?  Learners planning their tuition payments.

Understanding your tuition structure helps you plan your finances and choose the right payment option. Your rate depends on your admission cohort, your school or programme, your chosen payment option (full-year upfront or instalments), and the university's approved tuition policy. Paying upfront for the full academic year may qualify you for a discounted rate.

Grandfathered upfront rates

Being grandfathered means you keep your approved tuition rate until graduation, provided you remain eligible under the tuition policy.

Full-year upfront at 280,000 Naira until graduation applies to undergraduate learners in the School of Management and the School of Communication for the May 2024, September 2024, January 2025, May 2025, September 2025, and January 2026 cohorts.

Full-year upfront at 300,000 Naira (instead of 320,000 Naira) applies to existing undergraduate learners in the School of Computing and the School of Allied Health for the same cohorts: May 2024, September 2024, January 2025, May 2025, September 2025, and January 2026.

Full-year upfront payment of 300,000 Naira applies to undergraduate learners across all schools in the May 2026 cohort and above. Learners who do not make the upfront payment will pay 350,000 Naira per academic year in two semester instalments of 175,000 Naira each.

Full-year upfront payment of 340,000 Naira applies to undergraduate learners across all schools in the September 2026 cohort and subsequent cohorts. Learners who do not make the upfront payment will pay 195,000 Naira per semester.

Note  The discounted rates of 280,000 and 300,000 Naira apply only to eligible learners who choose the full-year upfront option. Instalment plans are available, but the discounts do not apply to them.
