Who is this for? All learners who want to connect with their peers.
The Miva Student Community is the university's official online community, where learners connect, collaborate, and support one another. It is hosted on Telegram, which lets learners engage in a secure, interactive environment and accommodates the university's large learner population.
Connect with learners in your programme and cohort.
Build relationships and expand your network.
Form study groups and find study partners.
Discuss coursework and share learning experiences.
Receive important updates relevant to your journey.
Each learner is assigned to a community based on their programme and cohort, which makes it easier to interact with classmates and receive relevant information. For undergraduate learners, the community also shares information about live classes and other academic activities.
Why Telegram rather than WhatsApp?
Telegram accommodates a larger number of learners, which makes it the preferred platform for the community.
How do I join?
You will receive the Telegram link for your programme and cohort during onboarding or from your Success Advisor.
Can I join more than one community?
Join only the official community assigned to your programme and cohort, unless the university instructs otherwise.
Are the communities official?
Yes. Only join communities shared through official university channels to avoid misinformation.
Are there rules?
Yes. Communicate respectfully, stay on topic, and follow the community guidelines. Inappropriate behaviour, harassment, or sharing false information may result in removal.
